Low-fat Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats

These Rice Krispie Treats are perfect for anyone. They are low in fat, easy to make and great for the whole family. 

Ingredients:

  • 240g peanut butter (smooth) 
  • 80 ml maple syrup 
  • 70 ml coconut oil
  • 4 teaspoons Caramel Gourmet Drops
  • a pinch of salt
  • 100g rice krispies 
  • 100g dark chocolate chips

Instructions

Firstly, mix the peanut butter, coconut oil, Gourmet Drops and maple syrup in a large saucepan over medium heat. Once the mixture is smooth, add in the rice krispies gradually but becareful not to let the mixture burn. 

Once well combined, line a 8x8 inch pan with parchment paper and put the mixture in the pan and pack down so its flat. Melt the chocolate chips and pour over the mixture. Gently tap the pan on a table to level the chocolate and place in the fridge for at least 2 hours or until hard. Cut into about 9 squares and enjoy with a hot drink!
