Low-fat Peanut Butter Biscuits

These tasty biscuits are a perfect treat without the bad stuff! Perfect to enjoy with your favourite hot drink...

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 teaspoons Caramel Gourmet Drops
  • a pinch of salt
  • 50g light brown sugar
  • 125g smooth natural peanut butter 
  • 45g oats
  • 100g whole wheat flour
  • 45g dark chocolate chips (optional for topping)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and prepare a baking tray with parchment paper. 

In a mixing bowl, add the brown sugar and eggs and whisk. Add the baking powder and salt and mix until well combined. Next, add the Gourmet Drops and peanut butter until well combined. Add the flour gradually until a manageable dough is formed. Fold in the oats and chocolate chips until consistent throughout. 

Form the dough into small balls around 2 inches big and place evenly across the baking tray. Flatten each of the balls slightly and bake for around 10 minutes or until the biscuits become firm and begin to brown. Allow the biscuits to cool and serve warm or keep in the fridge. Enjoy!
