Low-fat Blueberry Mug Cake

This "mug cake" is a super simple and easy version of making a cake while being equally delicious! You can custom make it with your personal favourite toppings, a perfect low-fat and low-sugar breakfast, snack or dessert for a sweet tooth! 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tablespoon of Chocolate Gourmet Drops
  • 1 medium egg
  • 30g blended oats
  • 50ml milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Small handful of blueberries
  • 1/2 mashed banana (optional)

Method

Firstly, grab your favourite mug and add in the Gourmet Drops, egg and milk and whisk. Once mixed, add in the oats and baking powder and combine well with a fork until the mixture is smooth. Lastly, fold in the blueberries.

Microwave the mixture for 30 seconds at a time until the cake becomes risen and firm on top. Once slightly cooled, top with your favourite treats! We love Gourmet Drops mixed with fat free yogurt, and a sprinkle of icing sugar.
