Low fat Chocolate and Coconut Macaroons

These Macaroons are lower in fat than store brought cookies but equally packed with flavour. With only a few ingredients needed, you'll be indulging in these deliciously chewy cookies in no time! 


  • 95g Coconut Flakes
  • 50ml Coconut Oil 
  • 20g Whole Wheat Flour
  • 15g Cocoa Powder 
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons of Maple Syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Chocolate Gourmet Drops
  • (optional) 2 tablespoons Dark Chocolate Chips


Firstly, preheat the oven to around 175 degrees celsius and Line a baking tray with parchment/baking paper. Add all the ingredients except from the chocolate chips to a food processor and mix. (You can use a whisk if necessary). Once the mixture is well combined, fold in the chocolate chips and begin rolling the mixture into around 2 inch balls and placing them well spaced out on the baking tray. Bake the cookies for around 10 minutes or until they begin to brown slightly. Once taken out of the oven, allow the cookies to cool completely and then they are ready to enjoy! Yum...
